Couples book Hands Off because we handle the entire music day so you don’t have to. When speeches run long we ride it out. When it’s time for the first dance we hit the exact cue. When the dance floor finally opens we take it from 0 to packed in three songs.

Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception — or all three

Most Auckland couples hire us for the full day. Our acoustic duo or trio plays the ceremony (processional, register-signing music, recessional), continues through the cocktail hour with a warm background set, then the full 5-piece Hands Off band rolls in to take over the reception once you’re seated for dinner. Having one trusted musical supplier for the whole day means fewer contracts to manage, one sound system, one load-in, and one point of contact — a huge simplification for couples juggling dozens of other vendors.

Duo, trio, or full 5-piece — the right wedding band for your room

Not every wedding needs a full 5-piece band. Intimate ceremonies, micro-weddings, elopements, and venues with tight noise restrictions are often a better fit for our acoustic duo or trio — same vocalist-led Hands Off sound, scaled to the space. Larger receptions of 100+ guests, outdoor marquees, and high-energy late-night dance floors are where the full band shines. We’ll talk you through which format suits your venue, guest count, and run sheet during the quoting conversation, so you’re not paying for a bigger setup than your day actually needs.

What’s included in a wedding booking

Every Hands Off wedding booking includes a structured planning call 6–8 weeks before the day to lock in your run sheet, first-dance song, and must-play / do-not-play lists; a 6,000W professional PA system suitable for mid-to-large venues and marquees; stage lighting; wireless radio mics for your celebrant, MC, and speeches; a curated DJ playlist during our breaks so the room never goes quiet; public liability insurance documentation for your venue; and unlimited email support from booking through to the big day. For first-dance songs outside our existing repertoire, we’re happy to discuss specific requests during the planning call — we can’t guarantee every song is possible, but we’ll be straight with you up front and do our best to make your moment happen.
